What we do
We are a student-run club operating in the University of British Columbia since May, 2021. We are the host of BC’s only designathon and we’re a part of a National Design League community. Our executive team of 28 students consists of 8 sub-teams (engineering, architecture, marketing, operations, sponsorship, administration, finance, and database) and our events are open to all students and even to high schoolers and young adults.
Our Mission
To build a community of designers by empowering creativity and innovative thinking. We work towards this goal by providing events, workshops, competitions and designathons for students free of charge. Our focus is to teach technical skills, such as: CAD, 3D modeling, 3D printing, prototyping, mechanical engineering and architecture design, and to provide opportunities for students to apply their knowledge to real-world problems. We also connect students with others who are also passionate about technical design as well as with industry professionals through our Internship Program and networking opportunities.
